Description

Happy ~ This painting makes me smile! Perhaps its just because the butterscotch color is sunny and joyful. It might also be because of the playful splatters of color, splashes, random and fun!

I did this in two stages: the first was to lay down the butterscotch yellow and slate gray in simple droplets of pure color with very little manipulation. I applied the darker swaths of gray after masking the bottom layer. This was necessary to add interest and complexity, while seeming deceptively simple and happy. I hope you like it and thanks for looking.
